What’s the difference between a traditional & infrared sauna?
There’s always been a heated debate about saunas. Which is the best infrared saunas or the traditional steam rooms? Both type of saunas are claimed to be beneficial for detoxing, cleansing pores, destressing and weight loss, so which is better? We take a look at the differences and why your next sauna should be an infrared one at Flow Revive.
What is an infrared sauna?
Like the name suggests, this type of sauna uses thermal light instead of steam to raise your core temperature. Our bodies naturally gives off energy, and the type of rays emitted from the sauna are similar, and actually penetrate into the muscles without warming the air around you. It’s quite relaxing, and you won’t feel like you’re being roasted like a chicken on a rotisserie.
What is a traditional sauna?
Traditional saunas are sometimes referred to as steam rooms. Hot stones or a stove are used to create steam which warms your skin, then your muscles. Users often overheat quite quickly, not allowing you to spend the necessary time for the heat to be beneficial. Traditional saunas also have a particular musty, sweaty smell about them. Ugh!
What kind of sauna is at Flow Revive?
Because traditional saunas can make users more prone to heat exhaustion and dehydration, at Flow Revive, we opted to have an infrared sauna built. Unlike the traditional sauna, it allows our clients to bask in the heat for longer, which means you spend more time enjoying the benefits which may include…
